EDIsecure 8600 Dual-Sided ID Card System

Developed with industrial needs in mind, the EDIsecure XID 8600 ID card printer is the top-end model in the EDIsecure XID 8XXX printer series. It features an ultra-high resolution of 600DPI for more secure printing demands and comes standard with a duplexer/flipper for dual-sided printing. The XID 8600 printer uses the same supplies as the XID 8300 & XID 9300 printers, so supplies are easy to find. The EDIsecure XID 8600 dual-sided card system includes everything you need to start printing cards, including a color ribbon, retransfer film, cards, ID software, and a webcam.

  To ensure smooth operation and printer care, the EDIsecure XID 8600 dual-sided ID card printer utilizes a series of features to make printing simpler and more efficient. The printer features easy to change front-loading cartridges and ribbons so that changing supplies is fast and easy. The front mounted LCD screen gives important updates, such as low ribbon warnings & cleaning notifications.


• Take advantage of high quality reverse transfer technology
  The XID 8600 printer utilizes retransfer printing technology which allows for rich color images to be printed across the entire card without white borders around the edges. The ultra-high 600 DPI of the printer is capable of printing character sizes down to 1.3pt making it well suited to high security applications such as national ID programs. Additionally, because the printer uses retransfer printing technology, the printhead never comes in contact with the card which minimizes the risk of expensive printhead damage and downtime.


• Secure your card printing program
  The XID8600 card printer includes several features to ensure your ID application and supplies are safe, inlcuding: an electronic security lock, Kensington Lock, dye-sublimation UV ink ribbon for invisible security printing, IPSEC for encrypted data transfer through networks, and Security Erase of black data on used supplies help prevent counterfeiting and to avoid the misuse of personal information.

  The XID 8600 printer is capable of handling several encoding options such as smart card encoding, contact or contactless chip encoding (Mifare, DESFire, HID iClass, and more), and a variety of chip encoder plug-ins for advanced CEF. (Add this feature to your printer within Options)


• Optional Lamination
  The EDIsecure XID 8600 printer is compatible with the EDIsecure ILM-LS & ILM-DS lamination units which offer single and Dual-Sided lamination. Adding lamination to your cards adds an additional layer of security and durability. Lamination options can be added to your printer in the Options tab.)
