Fargo 45029 Color Ribbon Details

Genuine Fargo 45029 half panel YMCKO color ribbon refills are used to print single-sided full-color cards with black resin text or barcodes and a clear overlay (protective layer) over the entire card. Please note that a Fargo refillable ribbon cartridge is required for this ribbon.

On the front side of the card:

• Y - yellow 1/2 panel
• M - magenta 1/2 panel
• C - cyan 1/2 panel
• K - full black resin panel
• O - full overlay panel

Half-panel ribbons allow you to print color on up to half the length of a standard CR80-size PVC cards, while resin black may be printed on any area of the card. If you will only be printing in full-color on part of your cards, Fargo 45029 half panel ribbon refills provide twice the print yield than a standard YMCKO ribbon, at a lower cost per card.

Fargo 45029 ribbons are for use with an ECO friendly refillable ribbon cartrigde and include a cleaning roller. 45029 ribbons are compatible with DTC1000 and DTC1250e printers.

Did you know that Fargo 45029 ribbons have a shelf life?

Dye-sublimation ribbons typically have a shelf life of up to one year, when stored under the proper conditions. Ribbons that are not properly stored, and are more than one year old, will not print optimally and will likely end up costing more in maintenance and more money in reprinting cards.

How to find the shelf life of your color ribbon?

Look for the manufactured date on the sticker on the box, which is above the part number. If this date is over one year in the past, then your ribbon is past its shelf life.
