Encoding and 'Layers of Security' Options

The Nisca PR5350 card printer is equipped to handle your magnetic stripe, RFID and/or ID contact encoding needs. These encoding modules are available upon ordering your PR5350 card printer, but they are also field-upgradeable - growing as your needs grow.

The duplex Nisca PR5350 duplex laminating system is also equipped to handle your card lamination requirements. Lamination not only provides durability to your ID card - it also combats card counterfeiting and duplication. The lamination module(s) is available upon ordering your Nisca PR5350 card printer, but it is field-upgradeable as well.

Most common security features include custom and generic holographic laminates, pre-printed micro- or nano-text on cards and embedded holographic images on card surfaces. There are many additional advanced security avenues that can be explored, including Guilloche patterns (computer-generated holograms), tamper-evident (TE) patches, flip imagery and variable UV printing. Variable UV printing allows printing of the card printer's serial number, model number, print date and other data via settings in the printer driver.
