Encoding and 'Layers of Security'

The duplex Nisca PR5300 duplex laminating system is also equipped to handle your lamination needs. Lamination not only provides durability to your ID card - it also combats card counterfeiting and duplication. The lamination module(s) is available upon ordering your Nisca PR5300 card printer, or it can be added down the road - as your needs grow.

Most common security features include custom and generic holographic laminates, pre-printed micro- or nano-text on cards and embedded holographic images on card surfaces. There are many additional advanced security avenues that can be explored, including Guilloche patterns (computer-generated holograms), tamper-evident (TE) patches, flip imagery and variable UV printing. Variable UV printing allows printing of the card printer's serial number, model number, print date and other data via settings in the printer driver.
