The HDP5000 duplex ID card printer provides more designing/printing area to your card while eliminating the efforts of reloading cards to print on both sides using a single-sided printer. The HDP5000 duplex printer is able to produce 51 full color, two-sided cards per hour - saving you time and energy. Seconds saved per card adds up substantially with your large volume printing applications.

The modular design of the Fargo HDP5000 duplex ID card printer enables you to easily upgrade to encoding technologies, and single-sided or simultaneous duplex lamination. Eliminate costs involved in training your users because the Fargo HDP5000 duplex printer is easy-to-use and maintain. Cards, ribbons and lamination are cartridge-based, allowing for snap-in replacement and elimination of torn, wasted materials. Printer cleaning is just as simple; Fargo includes a cleaning roller with each ribbon purchase, making it easy to replace each time you load a new ribbon.

The Fargo HDP5000 duplex printer provides easy-to-understand status messages and prompts via its SmartScreen LCD panel. There is no wasted time interpreting blinking lights that some LED-based card printers are designed with.

With fewer moving parts, the Fargo HDP5000 duplex ID card printer is nearly maintenance-free. Plus, it is equipped with a 2 year printer warranty, including 1 year loaner printer coverage, and lifetime printhead warranty.

The Fargo HDP5000 duplex printer is an ideal choice for printing on technology cards because it first prints your images on HDP film that is then fused to your card via heat and pressure. This process eliminates direct contact with the printhead and produces results that are more like a crisp, glossy photo than an everyday ID badge. In contrast, with dye sublimation printers, ribbon and cards come in direct contact with the printhead. This can affect image quality and even cause damage to your printhead if you are using cards that have smart chips, or embedded antennas and circuits.

HDP film provides added benefits of card durability and protection. First, it acts as a 'buffer' from everyday wear and tear. Second, it is highly tamper-evident. If a counterfeiter attempts to peel apart the layers, the image will ultimately be destroyed.

Ethernet connectivity comes standard. Your card issuance application does not have to be limited to a stand-alone badging station. You can operate your application safely and seamlessly over your network with the Fargo HDP5000 duplex printer's built-in Ethernet connectivity and internal print server.
