Fargo DTC400e Printer - Duplex Description

The Fargo duplex DTC400e printer is simple to operate and virtually maintenance-free. Plus, the Fargo duplex DTC400e printer's modular design scales easily to adapt to your future requirements, so that you won't have to invest in any other card printer to add encoding technologies.

Note: The Fargo duplex DTC400e printer (Fargo 54102) is the newly-enhanced version of the Fargo DTC400 printer. The Fargo 54102 is a direct replacement of Fargo 44102, as well as its multiple configurations.

Fargo 54102 Features

Simple operation and virtually maintenance-free.
The Fargo duplex DTC400e printer features the SmartLoad ribbon cartridge that combines the ribbon and cleaning roller into a single, convenient assembly—saving you both time and the hassle of torn, wasted ribbons and separate card cleaning mechanisms. The Fargo 54102 also confirms that you've have installed the correct ribbon cartridge and will alert you if you haven't.

The integrated cleaning roller for the Fargo duplex DTC400e printer cleans each card before it comes in direct contact with the printhead, performing a crucial step in protecting your printhead and maintaining high quality results.



The Fargo duplex DTC400e printer is additionally designed with an LCD control panel that clearly provides easy-to-understand prompts and commands, so you’ll always know the status of your print job.



Excellent results on a variety of card materials.
The new Fargo duplex DTC400e printers feature color printing enhancements that produce sharp text, and images that look truly photographic. With the Fargo duplex DTC400e printer, you'll get these excellent results on a range of card materials and thicknesses:

• Thin cards. These are popular for use as gift cards, bus passes, parking tickets (and more!) because they're flexible and lightweight. Thin cards are perfectly easy to mail or slip into a wallet!
• Rewritable cards. The Fargo duplex DTC400e printer provides a smart solution for short-lived cards. Special heat-sensitive rewritable cards are erased and re-printed via the printhead's heating element. No ribbon is necessary for rewritable printing in the Fargo duplex DTC400e printer—the cartridge is actually removed so that rewritable cards have direct heating access to the printhead. Use these cards again and again—up to 200 erase cycles.
• Technology cards. Contact smart cards, proximity or magnetic stripe cards can be used for access control, debit transactions or other applications in addition to photo ID.
• Fargo holographic foil cards. Add a level of protection to your cards by using Fargo security cards. These cards offer a cost-effective solution to adding visual security elements to your ID cards—without the need for lamination equipment.

Optional Ethernet connectivity.
