Magicard Rio Pro Single-Sided ID System Details
Built for professionals, the Magicard Rio Pro single-sided ID card printer is loaded with features. It can easily be upgraded to dual-sided printing in the field. The Rio Pro has a built-in USB and Ethernet with Windows 7, XP, and Vista (32/64 bit) compatibility. Plus, Magicard protects you with an industry-leading three-year UltraCoverPlus warranty and support that includes full printhead coverage and free loaner service to ensure that your card printing program is always operational.

Magicard Rio Pro Card Printer
- Easy to set-up and operate
The Magicard Rio Pro single-sided printer has a clear 4-line display that provides instructions and status messages. The Rio Pro can print large batches of cards via the 100-card capacity input hopper and 70-card stacker. It can also create one-off cards with an easy-to-use hand-feed slot.
- Create secure ID badges with built-in HoloKote
The Magicard Rio Pro printer includes built-in card security with Magicard's exclusive HoloKote card watermarking feature. Unlike expensive holographic laminates, there is no additional cost to add Magicard HoloKote watermarking to your cards. Instead, the HoloKote feature allows you to print a watermark using the O panel of a standard color ribbon. Plus, enabling HoloKote right in the printer driver makes the choice of adding a watermark to your cards easy!
There are four HoloKote designs to choose from with the Rio Pro, including globes, interlocking squares, keys and waves. You'll also have the choice of printing your watermark repeatedly across your cards, or use the HoloKote FLEX option to select a single location.
When higher security is needed, you can print custom text or graphics using the HoloKote Custom Key or HoloKote Custom FLEX Key. Learn more about Magicard's HoloKote technology and see a sample of how your watermark will look on you card with the Custom HoloKote Tool.
Using HoloKote along with Magicard HoloPatch cards, which include a gold 'foil' patch, turns one area of the watermark into a highly-visible security seal that is similar in appearance to an expensive holographic patch, without the expense.

The Magicard Rio Pro allows you to print standard dye-sublimation and thermal resin cards and also features the capability to print rewritable cards. This rewrite printing capability allows you to economically print, erase and reprint cards hundreds of times using thermal rewritable cards. Plus, no ribbon is needed for rewrite printing
- A variety of options
The Magicard Rio Pro can be easily upgraded in the field to dual-sided printing with an upgrade kit. Simply drop in a special ribbon and you will instantly have a dual-sided ID card printer. You can also add magnetic stripe, contactless, and smart card technologies to the Rio Pro for access control, time and attendance tracking, debit transacting, and more.
